Dear Friends, 施比受更為有福。衷心希望您能慷慨捐助「香港防癌會張謝寶英乳癌康復資助計劃」，讓更多的乳癌患者能感受到關愛及得到資助! My beloved wife Portia died of breast cancer in 2007. Time flies. It is nearly 7 years since Portia’s departure. Notwithstanding her illness and early departure, my wife did enjoy a blessed life on earth and had the privilege of tremendous support and care from her family and friends in times of difficulties and trials. It is both her wish before her departure and ours that more care and support can be given to those less resourceful breast cancer patients to help them maintain a good quality of life with dignity during the trying period. So far the Programme has donated more than $450,000 to subsidise over 120 needy breast cancer patients for purchasing extra nourishment and breast prosthesis which currently are not funded by the Government or other sources. The donation to the Programme will be earmarked for direct subsidy to needy breast cancer patients, and every dollar will be given direct to the patients without any administrative or other costs. This is the second time my son and I join the 香港防癌會 - 渣打馬拉松 HKACS - Standard Chartered Marathon. Last year, I failed to resist the repeated urge by my son to accompany him to join it, and this year I fail again and so have to do the second episode of 「捨命陪兒子2」. Hence I would like to make use of this golden opportunity to seek more generous donation to help achieve long-term sustainability of Portia’s Memorial Fund and to benefit more needy patients.
