We are in unprecedented times and it's inspiring to see communities rising to the challenge. However, not everyone has the resources to "shelter in place”. Refugee families with children whose primary meals happen at school are especially vulnerable now that learning centres have been shut down since March. On top of this, refugee families are unjustifiably blamed for spreading COVID-19.

The Move for Unity Festival offers free access to a varied line-up of the best music, wellbeing, sports, arts, and performances in one exciting online festival, streamed live on Facebook to the comfort of your home. All our artists, performers, and instructors graciously donated their time and energy to entertain and inspire you. Besides entertaining you, we are providing you with more information about refugees in Malaysia and the ways you can help out so we can all stand together during World Refugee Day and MOVE FOR UNITY! All we ask is that you share your support with refugees and donate any amount, big or small, to Ideas Academy to help feed and educate the most vulnerable during these difficult times.

How will your donation help us?

A donation of:

RM 5 will provide 1 meal to 1 student per day.

RM 100 will provide food for 1 student’s family for 2 weeks.

RM 250 will provide food for 1 student’s family for 1 month.

Ideas Academy is a secondary learning centre for underprivileged children, including refugee, stateless, and undocumented children.
