My Story

Nov 23, 2015 (Monday)
Cikgu Nazira finally gets to carry out the project! The kids are going to the zoo TODAY! 
One of the Co-Founders, Felix, joined the class to the zoo. The trip was nothing but all laughters and happiness. Cikgu Nazira taught her class one of the chapters in the textbook -- A Walk in the Safari Park during the trip too. Photos will be uploaded into the gallery and Give.my's FB page, stay tuned!

Oct 21, 2015 (Wednesday)
Cikgu Nazira had to postpone the execution of project due to the haze. the children are disappointed, but the trip will be executed as soon as the haze problem subsides.

This is my third year teaching English in SK Putrajaya Presint 9(1), I am teaching a class of 23 students which sadly, have not grasped basic literacy skills. The upcoming topic we are going to learn is “A Walk In The Safari Park”. What better way to learn about animals if not at the zoo?

The Initiative - A Walk in the Safari Park
A day at the zoo looking for clues and adventure, giving them a first hand experience of observing and finding information about the animals could help 23 students to:
  • Motivate them to use English
  • Trigger their interest in zoology
  • Allow them to use English in a context outside of the classroom
Cost Breakdown
  • Tickets (School package x 23 students) = RM253
  • Breakfast & lunch (RM11 x 23 students) = RM253
  • Zoo souvenirs (RM5 x 23 students) = RM115
  • Task materials (RM5 x 23 students) = RM115
