Raleigh Singapore is participating in Care Corner Singapore’s 40 Days of Care (Travel concession for youths from challenging backgrounds)
and are fundraising for Care Corner Singapore Ltd

[UPDATE] A BIG THANK YOU to all donors for your love, support and heartfelt donations! We've exceeded our original target of $4000 and we would like to keep this going! We have adjusted the target to $9600 so do continue to spread the word and love and keep the support going 🙏🏼👍🏼💕 A team of 7 Raleigh-ians from Raleigh Singapore will be going the distance from 2nd Aug to 10 Sept to raise $4,000 to provide youths from low-income families with travel concession passes. Do join us as we "raleigh" friends and family in support of this worthy cause. Here's what your kind contributions will achieve: $40 will support 1 youth for 1 month. $120 will support 1 youth for 3 months. $240 will support 1 youth for 6 months. Any amount donated is much appreciated!

My Story

We are a bunch of adventure-loving folks from Raleigh Singapore, a registered society of volunteers dedicated to paying it forward through adventure. We have either gone overseas on expeditions or organised local projects like our flagship Let's Take A Walk, a long-distance endurance walking event.


Suffice to say, we're all experiencing cabin fever due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are itching to climb a mountain, swim in a lake, or even dig a trench or plant a tree. So when we heard about Care Corner's 40 Days of Care campaign we thought it would be a perfect way for us to "pay it forward" by swimming, running, hiking, cycling or paddling! We hope our small actions can motivate our friends and family to donate towards the cause.

We are aiming to raise $4,000 to help Care Corner provide youths with 12-month travel concession passes. We have set ourselves the challenge of completing 5 sports between 2 August and 10 September.

Hike/Run/Cycle a total of: 400km
Paddle: 40km
Swim: 40km

About the cause by Care Corner: 
Goal: Provide youths from low-income families with travel concession.

In Care Corner's work with school-going youths, they realise many of them face various financial constraints, including insufficient transport money. This impacts their school attendance, participation in community programmes and ability to fulfil daily errands. A monthly transport concession pass will resolve their transport constraints, lighten their families' financial burden and help fulfil their potential.

Just by increasing transportation accessibility, we can promote their social mobility towards resources that empower their personal development. 

Donations received from 2 August 2021 to 10 September 2021 will be eligible for matching fund by Tote Board, subject to approval.
