We are going to Bike, Run, and Walk to support AHC every step of the way!    Arisaig has a team of over twenty running enthusiasts ready to take on varying distances in this half marathon challenge in December.  We will be racing through the historic UNESCO Heritage site of the Angkor Wat Temple Complex before completing our distance challenge.   Your Support Matters: Although the standard of living is steadily improving, Cambodians continue to suffer from endemic poverty. Many of the preventable illnesses seen on a daily basis at AHC are symptoms of deep-rooted poverty: everything from a lack of decent shelter, scarcity of clean water, or lack of nutritious food and sanitation all contribute to the illnesses that these patients’ experience. At AHC, $50 will pay for the care of three patients within the Outpatient Department. $100 covers the cost of six physiotherapy sessions for patients suffering from chronic diseases such as cerebral palsy or post-surgical rehabilitation. $150 will pay for food supplies for 75 homecare patients and their families for one week and $250 covers the cost for one premature baby’s care in the Neonatal Unit for one day. Every donation, no matter how big or small, really does count!
