About Appeal

I always believe in the mantra: can help, help. Hence, 6 years ago, when a family member approached other family members and I for a loan, we did not hesitate to lend a helping hand.

However, little did we know that he would take advantage of our trust and not return the money that was lent to him in good faith. Despite countless pursuits, this family member ignored and pushed his responsibilities to others. We found out that since the start, it was lies and was meant to cheat us. This has greatly affected our family-financially and mentally. To add on to our woes, my husband was down with some medical issues and I am now the sole breadwinner of the family. In desperation, we approached SimplyGiving for assistance. Also thankfully a lawyer, Mr Joel has kindly guided us on the legal proceedings that we can embark on.

All supporting documents and evidence submitted have been verified and thankfully, we were advised that we stand a high chance of recovering the outstanding loan, which could change the lives of our family.

I sincerely appeal to you to offer a contribution/support so that we can commence legal action to claim back this amount which is substantial to us, especially now that we have to meet my husband’s medical needs. We also hope that justice can be served. Any extra funds, upon verification, will be donated to other charity campaigns.
