各位善心人士大家新年快乐，但是很遗憾的，在这个新年里我接到了2个坏消息。第一个是有位癌症患者在本慈善还没来得及帮他筹款时已归天。那位患者是在新年期间大年初二早上9时多去世（附有2张照片）。原因是癌症扩散进骨而不能进行化疗。让我们一起为这位离世患者祝福。
第二个坏消息是本人接获一位单亲妈妈（癌症患者）的来电希望我们能帮助她。新年是个普天同庆的大日子。很可惜因为该名患者根本没有经济能力医病而让病魔陪她一起度过这个农历新年。目前该妈妈单靠2名较大的儿女（担任临时员工）负担家庭开支。本身却无法获得任何治疗。而且身体状况开始每日下降。
该妈妈在2015年做了乳癌切除手术后（手术费由一间公司包办），因为无法承担手术后复诊的费用而开始放弃治疗。目前该名单亲妈妈的癌症复发已经扩散至淋巴癌。但由于无法付任何医疗费用，只能通过一所慈善佛堂施赠免费中药以作排毒作用。但是这只是治标而不是治本。至今很多慈善机构都有联络这位患者，可是都被患者一一拒绝。原因是有很多机构都告诉患者当得到善款需要缴付佣金。最后患者选择向我们求助，因为该患者得到友人的告知，本慈善不会收取任何佣金，所以在此本人希望通过大众的力量一起帮助这位可怜的单亲妈妈，好让他能早日康复。

To all donors wishing you a Happy Chinese New Year, BUT sadly, in this New Year season there are two bad news. There is a cancer patient who request for fund raising from us pass away during day 2 of Chinese New Year in 9.30am (as 2 photo below). The patient cancer cell has entered the bone and cause fever, so the patient can’t go thru chemotherapy treatment. Let us pray and bless the patient’s family.
Second bad news is this case we have accept, single mother (cancer patient) that has called us for help. Chinese New Year is festive of togetherness, but sadly the cancer cell get to celebrate this festive with the patient because she can’t afford the medical fee at all. The patient is depending on 2 of her daughter (part time job) for living expenses. She don’t medical fee support at all. Because of that her body is getting weaker each day. In 2015, after the mother has surgery on her breast (which is sponsored by a company), she can’t afford the medical treatment and she give up on it.
 Currently the single mother’s disease has spread to Lymphoma. Because she can’t afford medical treatment, she can only get a Buddha charity organization to provide her traditional herbs to release toxic. But this will not cure her at all. There were a lot of charity organization that contacted the patient, but she rejected all of them. This is because a lot of the organization wants commission from the fund raised. One the patient’s friend introduce about us, in the end she request our help,  we Locks of Hope Association do not accept any commission, that’s why we hope that thru the public we can give a helping hand to this poor single mother, pray that she can get well soon.
