Hi there!
I'm trying to help raise money for the iMKIRAN project, “Give Them Light”. This project aims to get 1,000 Nokero Solar Lights for the typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines.
Each light costs RM 45 (USD$ 14/ BND$ 18). Nokero Solar Lights are solar-powered lights that can last for six hours after being exposed under the sunlight for half a day.
What’s going on is that people there do not have electricity as a result of the typhoon. So, they can only depend on Kerosene lamps to be their main source of light when night falls.
The problem is, these Kerosene lamps are proven to be dangerous, “Living with a kerosene lamp, is like smoking 40 cigarettes a day” - Nokero International
We all need light to do our activities. Remember how we can’t do much every time we experience a blackout? How we would start searching for candles and torch lights, so, that we can get light? Not just the adults but the children also need light to play.
The victims have to go through this every single night unless they use the dangerous Kerosene lamps. Help give them light by giving them Nokero Solar Lights.
Help the kids enjoy their childhood.
So, I’m trying to raise MYR 6,000 and I need your help. What I'm willing to do if I get my targeted amount is that I will cut my hair (Neck length)
Why is cutting my hair such a big deal? Well, here's why. You see, I'm the girl who is known as the girl with the long hair. It is so common for people to comment on how long my hair is and I get attached to my hair even more when people compliment it. My hair is my image.
Sometimes, people would say "Zira, your hair is so long! Have you ever thought of cutting it?" and my instant answer would be a big, fat "NO! Not even if you give me millions." Cutting my hair was never in my thoughts -- until now. You don’t have to give me millions for me to cut my hair. All I’m asking is for you to help me reach my targeted amount and I will do it!
Another thing I would like to add on, if I reach my goal, my hair will be donated to cancer patients. So, once again, please help me reach my goal, please help the victims and thank you if you do.
