Update on May 3rd 2017
Thank you for your generous support of this project! The toilets have been completed and are functioning well. I had personally made a visit to the village last week to check on the project and attach on this page - the photos from the visit. Together with the toilets, we have also managed to raise funds to fill up a piece of land next to the school, which was often prone to flooding. These minor improvements to the village may not have cost alot to us, but they have added incredible value to the village and its community members.
During my recent trip, I have come across more projects and people that need help. I shall be posting more of these projects up soon.
Thank you so much for you support,
I received an appeal from the SLENG Village Government Primary School in Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia, to build them two new toilets.
There are just over 100 children in this school. Presently they only have one functioning toilet as the other one is clogged up. Their existing toilet structure is also in a bad state, with visible cracks.
We hope to raise the funds of US$1,500 as soon as possible so that we can proceed to build the new toilets right away.
Having safe, hygienic and adequate toilet facilities has far-reaching benefits for these children. It will prevent the spread of diseases, encourage good toilet habits, and generally allow the children to stay in school longer and stay healthy.
Thank you for your generosity.
