Dear Piggies, friends, and supporters,

The COVID pandemic continues to hit those less fortunate the hardest. Communities that the Pot Bellied Pigs hold particularly close to our hearts and have supported for a number of years continue to need our help. The Philippines, where we usually host our annual Fat Boy 10s tournament, has gone back into full lockdown with over 10,000 COVID cases each day. Other communities in South East Asia such as Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia have also suffered prolonged hardship.

Typically, the Pot Bellied Pigs would host events throughout the year in these countries. Working in partnership with charities such as the Retired Services League (RSL) in Clark and Subic we have run tournaments, tours, and very successful medical missions with budgeted and well-planned food distribution projects to those most in need. We continue to look for other ways to support these regions through the spirit of rugby and with numerous successful charitable endeavours that we are delighted to continue into 2021.

With this in mind, four long standing members of the Pigs, Ross Bendix, Lincoln Kinley, Rich Leung, and Andrew Lupton will leave the Piggie Pen and join Greg Bax to walk, crawl and stumble through the pathways of Hong Kong through April to do the equivalent distance from Hong Kong to Angeles City and back. That's 2,100km between them all! Since they are not actually leaving Hong Kong there will be no quarantine! Any support that you can bring will be welcomed warmly and if you would like to be involved please do join them.

The money raised will go towards the various causes that the Pigs support, helping to support underprivileged children and their families. We cannot emphasise enough how much your continued support makes a difference in these individual lives.

All your support is hugely appreciated and goes a long way to making up for the lack of 'on the ground' support we would usually bring.
