Many bird species are under serious threat of extinction due to the growing demand of the pet industry. Unfortunately, for many of the communities involved in this industry this job is their best option. By empowering the young generations through improved education and more access to modern tools, we hope to break this destructive cycle and create a more sustainable future, both for the community and the birds.

Why We Need Your Help:

• Equip Future Stewards: Your donation will directly help support a school community in Indonesia by providing modern tools and improving infrastructure. Children in the community lack access to laptops/computers and are unable to learn essential skills to improve their opportunities. Funds will go towards purchasing laptops for the schools as well as new school books and possibly improving the school infrastructure.

• Protect Our Feathered Friends: Through your support, we can give the children of this community a chance at a different course in life and break the cycle of having to poach wildlife to make a living.

Who We Are: We are the filmmakers of ‘Broken Wings’, a short documentary music film made with world renowned composer Ludovico Einaudi that unveils the untold story of bird poaching in South East Asia. There are several schools in the area where we filmed. During our visit to some of these schools, we noticed that these kids lack access to modern tools and are being taught in derelict buildings and with old school books.

Our Commitment: We are dedicated to making a lasting impact through education. All proceeds will fully be channeled directly into buying new technology for the students and improving the school’s infrastructure. We will post updates on the progress of the fundraiser and any donations made.
