Thank you all for supporting me thus far.... I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be in the desert last week. Marathon des Sable is an incredibly difficult race on every level. It’s hard on the emotion, mental and physical. Along the course, there were some villages in the desert and children came out to cheer and clap for us. They also begged us for things. In mine and your world, the usual thing people beg for is money. Not this instance- these children, begged for our water, buff and caramel. They would have to travel and walk loads to get to drinking well. I couldn’t give them any because i had no spare. I was living on rationed water. These Saharan children were exposed to the harsh weather and sand storm everyday and have no luxury of a buff but I needed my buff for the same reason... Caramel and dark chocolate has higher chance of surviving in the desert because it has lesser fat content therefore it won’t melt as quickly. I had no caramel on me as I brought no luxury to the race.
The world isn’t fair nor is it balance.
Where we can help to make or contribute somebody’s life- be it animal or human, we should all lend a hand and be that different to help make a difference to the world.

I am taking part in the Marathon Des Sable on 6-16 April 2018. It is a self sufficient event running 254km across the Sahara for 6 days. It’s just under a marathon a day for 4 days, the long day run is about 50miles and the final day is a marathon. This will be the toughest challenge I’ve ever set myself for and I can’t think of better charities to do it for.
Animals are my first love hence my choice for Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB). We have to be the voice for the voiceless and it should be our life mission to help all those in need, human or animal. It is not our choice to make about who lives or not. I’ve been very fortunate thus far and have been very lucky to be able to live my life and not just exist, therefore I would also like to help Make A Wish, Malaysia to fulfil wishes of children who are terminally ill because they too deserve to live their life to the fullest.
