BTS ARMY PH started as a Facebook Group (BTS A.R.M.Y. Philippines) in 2015, it gained over 100,000 members. We were established as a fanbase in February 2019. We started our first charity event on April 6, 2019, entitled “Summer Time with BTS and ARMY”. It is a fan gathering event to meet the members of the group and a percentage of the proceeds of the event was donated to UNICEF Philippines. The success of this event opened up the idea to create a Facebook Page on its own. BTS ARMY PH was born in April 2019, from there it started to provide updates and content about BTS, streaming parties, and many more. We've organized fundraising events to help organizations like Meritxell Children's World Foundation Inc., and to help the victims of the Taal Volcano eruption. In November 2020, BTS fanbases including BTS Army PH decided to do a donation drive to help the victims of the typhoons. We created “Bayanihan para kay Juan” - we were able to raise almost PHP 70,000. In total, the BTS fanbases were able to raise PHP 4M. And early this year of 2021, we have created charity events to help more beneficiaries in the Philippines.

The design of the logo was patterned to the Philippine Flag: the colors blue and red, the sun, and lastly the Philippine map, as all of these components symbolize the country, Philippines.

Teaching The Next Generation of Planet Protectors: Environmental Education for Filipino Children

The global COVID-19 pandemic has made the world realize how deeply connected the health of the planet is to the health of human society. While questions remain about the exact origins of COVID-19, all available evidence suggests that it is a zoonotic disease, meaning it jumped from wildlife to humans. Protecting our wildlife, their habitats, and the planet we live in remains one of the best courses of action to take if we want to prevent similar or worse pandemics from happening in the future, and in order to prevent something, it is important that we equip those who will be potentially facing it with the necessary knowledge, tools, and education. The next generation - our children and our grandchildren - are the future, and we want to help equip them for the future that they are about to face.

At WWF-Philippines, we believe that love and appreciation for the environment and for all beings that live on this planet start from childhood. This is the reason why it is very important to us to work with the academe to promote environmental consciousness and encourage environmental action among the youth. Experiencing first-hand the wonder of nature and knowing more about our interconnectedness shape habits, mindsets, lifestyles, and behavior in children, and our Environmental Education team provides “turo” sessions around the country in order to share this with more students every day.  

With your generous support, Filipino children will learn from our biodiversity and conservation module where they will be taught about the interrelationships of various components in the environment, as well as different wildlife species and their habitats. At a young age, they will be trained to integrate the environment into the different aspects of their lives, which will help and encourage them to take the initiative to protect our environment, and in doing so, to protect their fellow Filipinos and their country.
