Angkor Hospital for Children
We are raising money for Angkor Hospital for Children. A non-profit teaching hospital in Siem Reap that provides quality, compassionate healthcare to over 500 children every single day, all for free!
My Story
A teaching hospital training the next generation of Cambodia's healthcare workers, with outreach programs that focus on the most remote parts of the community and centers of excellence like the countries first Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, AHC is doing ground breaking work to improve healthcare for all of Cambodia's children. It is so much more than a hospital.
We have been lucky enough to call Cambodia home for over 2 years and have witnessed first hand the impact AHC has on the community, with Max working in the fundraising and events team for the past 12 months.
The team at AHC work hard every day to provide healthcare for children who might not otherwise have access to qualified medical professionals, nutritional experts and support services, but all of this comes at a price. And with a $6.5M budget to raise every year this is no small feat!
Here's how your donation can help...
US$15 A trip to the dentist for one child
US$25 School health and nutrition classes for 20 primary age school students
US$50 Three counselling sessions for victims of abuse or neglect
US$75 24 hours of inpatient treatment and care for a severely malnourished child
US$100 Sight-saving eye screenings for 20 children
US$250 24hr lifesaving intensive care for one premature baby in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
US$500 Care for a child living with HIV for one whole year
US$750 Cost of one heart surgery for a child born with heart defects
US$1,000 Curative oncology treatment for one child with cancer of the eye
We will be running in the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon this December to help raise life saving funds for AHC. Every donation will make a difference, please give big and help us reach our fundraising goal of $5,000!
