Either way, I’m glad that you’re here. Some of you may be wondering:

“What is Cat Beach Sanctuary?”

A: Cat Beach Sanctuary is a non-profit ‘No Kill’ cats-only shelter. Based in Teluk Bahang in Penang, Malaysia, Cat Beach Sanctuary strives to better the welfare of cats and they have also dedicated their efforts to awareness and educating others on cat care. Cat Beach Sanctuary currently cares for an estimated 300 cats and during these tough times, funds that provide care for the cats are running short.

I can empathise deeply with the efforts of Cat Beach because my experience of fostering kittens when I was younger did not have the pleasant outcome that I had hoped for. In this story, there are three kittens, namely Cleo, Wolf, and Pans. These three were incredibly young, meaning that they had to be hand-fed and monitored every couple of hours. I thought they were thriving until I came home from school one day and found Pans lying in the cage, its body devoid of warmth and life.

Wolf was the second to leave us. It was absolutely heartbreaking and for a good part of my life, I blamed myself for not giving them the proper care that they needed. Despite this, we were fortunate enough to watch Cleo grow up, even though she was given away to one of my parents' colleagues later on. If only I knew more and was better educated on cat care, it would have made all the difference for Wolf and Pans.

With that said, I would like to reiterate for those who have ordered cookies from me that 100% of the sales will be donated to Cat Beach Sanctuary and I encourage you all to donate more if it is within your capacity to do so.
