Davina's Swimathon Challenge for Ocean Conservation is fundraising for Reef Check Malaysia & MareCet

I'm attempting the biggest physical challenge of my life, in one of the most important things on earth: The Ocean. Covering 70% of the world's surface, it is easy for those who don't live near the ocean to forget or even realize the ocean's importance to human survival. Make a pledge to not only offer moral support to my challenge, but to also do your part in marine conservation for future generations.

My Story

NOTE: As of 18th March 2016, the venue for this campaign has been changed from the Kapas-Marang International Swimathon, to the Raleigh Round Island Challenge.

Hello! I'm Davina Goh, a Malaysian host, performer, and health and fitness enthusiast.

As a swimming ambassador of Advanced Aquatics & Zen Swim Malaysia, I'll be taking part in the Raleigh Round Island Challenge, held between 27-29 May 2016, where I will swim 9km around Perhentian Islands, South China Sea waters, off the coast of Terengganu State.

Until now, I had never done any '-athon' in my life. (Well, I've done a 'Lord Of The Rings' Movie Marathon before... the outcome was embarrassing.) So I will need all the moral support I can get for this swimathon!

The sea means a lot to me, so this is also a unique chance for me to spread awareness about ocean conservation.

Trains volunteers to become 'EcoDivers', led by scientists, to regularly monitor
and report on the health of reefs

Does research and conservation activities to further understand marine mammals (whales, dolphins, porpoises & dugongs) and the greater marine environment in Southeast Asia
