Due to extremely heavy monsoon rains on the East Coast early this year, childcare centres and pre-schools serving low income families in Terengganu and Pahang, were badly affected. Destroyed by mud and debris, most suffered loss of furniture, learning materials, toys, and kitchen equipment and will now have to struggle to clean, re-equip and restart their community services. Already at breaking point and on the verge of closures due to the impact of Covid-19 restrictions, they are hard pressed to recover without financial aid.
