My Story

Hi there! I'm Jona, and I'm excited to be part of the ECHO Project as a volunteer through Taylor's University's AIESEC club. ECHO, which stands for Environmental, Cleansing, Habitation, Oasis, is a 4-week initiative focused on increasing awareness of climate change and empowering us to take action while spreading awareness in our community. 

Our project's mission is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 13 (SDG 13): Climate Action, as initiated by the United Nations. We aim to improve education and awareness on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, and early warning. 

As a Malaysian Youth Volunteer, my role involves engaging with students to help them understand the importance of taking action in climate change. Through virtual and/or hybrid sessions, we'll explore the factors contributing to climate change and work together to develop solutions and initiatives to reduce their impact in our communities. 

The ultimate outcome we hope to achieve is that youth become more aware of climate change and take meaningful actions to reduce critical factors affecting our environment.
Together, we aim to make a positive impact on SDG 13: Climate Action by educating our communities and building action plans to address environmental challenges.
