ABOUT THE EVENT
The increasing global impact of climate change is widely alarming. Our environment is being threatened with losses such as deforestation, degradation and other ecological crisis that will persist if such are deterred with solutions the soonest possible time. We are now experiencing a beginning of what could be a future of extinction and deprivation. Climate change is already beginning to transform life on Earth. Without action, the impacts of climate change threaten to catastrophically damage our world. But a wise adage has taught us that every problem has in it the seeds of its own solution. By rallying people in the community, our country and around the world to be part of the solution, together we have the power to limit and reduce the effects of climate change.

Through this event, the initiative is to raise awareness about the profound effects of climate change and encourage people to reduce its effects by changing their habits and urge everyone to do what they can to prevent this ever-accelerating phenomena. This call is based on the hope that individual and corporate actions and statements can collectively bring about a change in attitudes and policies toward a sound environment. Every idea and insights gathered for this initiative is compiled into a strategy (event) for the further development of climate change education, awareness and training.

The strategy is based on the following goals:
• Increasing knowledge about climate change, the causes, impacts, and what people can do to help reduce it or adapt the changes in store.
• Helping people develop attitudes of caring for each other and the environment (engage emotions)
• Helping people adopt and practice changes in behavior in response to climate change.
• To raise awareness among the general public about critical environmental issues.
• To encourage common people from different society and communities to actively participate in the celebration as well as become an active agent in developing environmental safety measures, recognizing the importance of sustainable development.
• To encourage people to join the campaign and thrive in making the world a better place by keeping their nearby surroundings safe and clean -- for safer, cleaner and more prosperous future.

We will be partnering with WWF Philippines, the sole benefactor of this event, who are advocates for the environment. They will provide the tools and knowledge on how to combat climate change and the key solutions to prevent it from damaging our environment.
