Nala's story is one of resilience and hope. On that fateful day of August 13th, near the bustling Gombak area, a compassionate soul spotted her lying in pain by the roadside. Nala, a female mixed breed dog estimated to be around 4 to 5 years old, had clearly endured some hardships in her life. Yet, despite her injuries, her spirit remained unbroken.
Upon her rescue, Nala revealed her true nature - friendly and sweet, even in the face of adversity. This endearing disposition touched the hearts of those who came to her aid. Recognizing her dire situation, they reached out to the SPCA on August 23rd, seeking help for this brave survivor.

Nala was promptly sent to Gasing Veterinary Hospital, where her journey towards recovery began. The initial assessment revealed her to be anemic, and her hind legs were tragically paralyzed. However, there was a glimmer of hope as she still displayed reflexes in her legs. It was clear that Nala had the spirit to fight back.
Over the following days, Nala showed remarkable progress. By August 30th, she could stand on her own for brief periods, a testament to her unwavering determination. The journey ahead would not be easy, but Nala's resilience was an inspiration to all.
As of September 1st, Nala still required ongoing treatment, including physiotherapy, to regain full use of her legs. Her overall health was good, and her spirit remained undiminished. Nala's story serves as a reminder of the incredible strength and resilience of animals and the power of compassion in giving them a second chance at life. With continued care and support, Nala is on her way to a brighter future, where she can once again run freely on all fours.
