Funding is integral as it permits for the existence of AIESEC in Taylor’s University as well as sustains our operations, therefore we require private, public, and individual contributions to achieve our organizational goals in making an impact to the community.
About AIESEC:
Together with our partner organizations, AIESEC provides young people with leadership development, cross-cultural global internships, and volunteer exchange experiences all around the world.
Project Background:
In Malaysia, there is a high number of refugee centres whereby the children are not receiving any proper education while they are trying to lead better lives. Apart from that, UNHCR estimates that only 30% of refugee children of school age in Malaysia actually goes to school. Therefore, in accordance with SDG 4: Quality Education, we strive to provide equal educational opportunities to the refugee community in Malaysia. This is done by providing education on subjects such as verbal and written English, and Basic Mathematics to the children.
