The Autism Cafe Project serves as a training group for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder to slowly integrate back into the society by securing their future through their job. We have a cafe that is the training ground and 3 (three) food kiosk for them to work in.  Currently we have 7 staff with ASD working at the cafe and another 9 in our pool of part time staff.

Catering is the core business of the Autism Cafe Project. It has helped us survive on a sustainable basis, and we would like to grow this part of the business. When we have catering needs which requires usage of chafing unit, pots, warmer etc, that is where we encounter issues, we can’t carry those items in the car. It just doesn’t fit in and we have problems with spillage and transportations of the boys too.

A van will be crucial to our business. We will be able to comfortably and efficiently transport the food and ensure that our boys safely arrive at our catering venues. We intend to run our business in a sustainable manner, as a commercial business. But at this stage of our growth, a van would truly help us achieve our business goals and social mission of helping more youths with ASD.
