As we approach the year’s end, what better way is there to celebrate the festive season than by bringing hope to those who need it?
Celebrating Hope: Yesterday Once More (8 January 2016)
Figures from the Department of Statistics show 7,307 divorces and annulments in 2014. At least 4,728 children below 21 were involved in these cases.
You can be part of EMCC’s work in defending the Family unit. Show your tangible support by buying tickets to the Charity Gala! (Visit
bit.ly/CelebratingHope2016 for details and stories from the programmes we are raising funds for.)
The Charity Gala will be a celebration of the New Year, a platform to publicly reaffirm our commitment to bring hope to relationships, and an appreciation of our supporters.
We are hoping to treat you, our generous supporters, to an evening of fun nostalgia with our theme of ‘Yesterday Once More’. Guests are encouraged to come in outfits representing the styles of the 60s, 70s, or 80s. There will be a best-dressed contest with attractive prizes like staycation deals and high quality wines to be won.
Guest of Honour: Mr. Tan Chuan-Jin,
Minister for Social and Family Development.
We are also excited to have well-loved MediaCorp Artiste Gurmit Singh as our host for the evening! Known for being a family man himself, he is someone we are glad to give the stage and spotlight to.
Why give to EMCC?
EMCC is big on building strong Marriages and healthy Families. Our professional services (Mediation & Counselling) and educational programmes help couples in relationship crises and empower parents to deal with conflict in the home.
EMCC is one of the charity beneficiaries selected by the Singapore Government to receive the Care & Share Movement grant. They are going to match $1.25 for every $1of public donations collected by EMCC before 31 March 2016. As part of the SG50 initiative, EMCC can also issue
tax deductible receipts of 3 times the amount donated.
What can I do to get involved?
- Buy tickets for a table of 10 people at the gala dinner – sponsor your friends and loved ones!
