Funding For See-through Masks 捐款支持購買透明口罩  

Restrictions due to COVID-19 have hindered children’s progress and learning, and exacerbated developmental delays for young children with additional needs.

新冠疫情所帶來的種種防疫限制措施，令孩子的學習進度大受影響，同時更加劇了有額外學習需要的幼兒的發展遲緩。

While wearing face masks has become essential in these times, it blocks crucial signs like facial expressions, speech gestures and emotions which creates challenges for children with additional needs as visual communication is necessary for learning.

雖然現時佩戴口罩已成為日常必需，但因為視覺溝通對於孩子學習至關重要，而戴口罩會阻礙他們接收別人面部表情、言語手勢和情緒等關鍵訊號，所以對於有額外學習需要孩子來說，在這段時間與人溝通變得更具挑戰性。

At the Child Development Centre, our team has been working hard to create some hope on the horizon. Our therapists and early childhood experts have delivered sessions while trialling transparent masks with positive results.

在明德兒童啓育中心，我們的團隊一直致力為孩子帶來希望和曙光。中心的治療師和幼兒專家嘗試在教學環節中使用透明口罩並取得正面成果。

We are hoping to raise HK$50,000 to purchase more see-through masks for all daily individual and group sessions. For the cost of a cup of coffee, you can support us in continuing to deliver quality therapy and intervention services to the many who will need them in the community.

中心現希望籌募港幣50,000元，為所有小組課程和一對一治療環節添置更多透明口罩供老師和治療師使用。只要一杯咖啡的價錢，閣下就可以支援中心繼續為社區內有需要人士提供優質的治療和介入服務。

About The Child Development Centre

The Child Development Centre (“CDC”) is a non-profit organisation and a local early childhood intervention expert who provides both English and Chinese services of a wide spectrum to children with additional developmental/learning needs. We also empower educators by organising workshops and seminars at our centre or your location to introduce practical knowledge and classroom strategies that best support young children's needs.
