Klimb Kinabalu – Fight Against Cancer

MAKNA turns 25 this year!To significantly mark the milestone, MAKNA hasbeen able to gather 25 climbers, including cancer survivorswho will summit Mount Kinabalu on 29 July 2019. The expedition, named as Klimb Kinabalu is part of MAKNA’s most anticipated annual fundraising effort.

Climbing the 4,095meter-Mount Kinabalu is regarded by each individual climber as a personal journey and challenge. Each individual has had their own story coming face-to-face with cancer, battling the dreaded disease. Every story is unimaginably harrowing but still inspiring. Besides cancer survivors, this group of 25 climbers is made up care givers, cancer patients’ family members, their friends, colleagues, volunteers and other individuals like you. All-in-all, there are 25 touching stories waiting to be shared.

The word “CANCER” can sometimes bring us down, but to this group of survivors, caregivers and volunteers, they will be going all out to lift others up. They have come together to inspire those undergoing cancer treatments to become active despite their diagnosis, with the sole and special aim to raise awareness and generate funds.

This team that will soon embark the said journey would like to appeal to your generosity in making “a small donation” as a token of your support towards this cause. Donations received will ultimately be channeled to deserving and poor cancer patients in Malaysia.

When the funds start to flow in steadily and gradually reach the target, this will certainly be a morale booster to all climbers. Every donation counts, it brings a meaning to someone’s life.
