Overview
The Wednesday Afternoon Golf Society (WAGS) is a social golf society in Hong Kong which has been established for over 20 years, arranging regular golf events for members and their guests throughout the year. We are an extremely active society - annually we hold over 40 events in Hong Kong, China, and Macau and arrange three tours in Asia each year.
WAGS, like any club or society, has a culture that binds members together: Good Golf, Good Company, Good Causes. Giving for good is an important part of WAGS.
The WAGS Golfing for Good philosophy distinguishes WAGS from almost all other golf societies. We are rightly proud of it because it is driven by the commitment and generosity of our members and sponsors.
We also host the biggest amateur golf event in Hong Kong - the WAGS Annual Golfing for Good Day.
Golfing For Good Day
Our Golfing for Good program is now in its 15th year and has raised in excess of HK$10.5m for various beneficiaries. Most of the fundraising comes from our Annual Golfing for Good Day, which has become Hong Kong's biggest amateur golf event, with 144 players taking part.
It is a unique occasion for participants and sponsors alike, who enjoy such novelties as our crazy putting contest, the ever-popular sausage sizzle and beat the pro hole, as well as having fantastic prizes and auction items on offer.
This year’s event takes place on Friday 17th November at the Kau Sai Chau Golf Course in Hong Kong
