Together, we will provide food, medicine, and hygiene kits to more than 1,000 families, helping them recover and rebuild their lives.
——
Super Typhoon Carina (Gaemi) has recently ravaged the Philippines, affecting 1.3 million people. The worsening effects of the climate crisis are devastating Filipinos’ lives, with the most vulnerable among us bearing the worst of its impact. Natural disasters have become an almost annual ordeal.
Oplan PANDAmayan is WWF-Philippines' dedicated campaign to raise funds and provide immediate relief to survivors of natural calamities. This campaign prioritizes the most vulnerable sectors, including our country’s environmental frontliners who are crucial in protecting our planet.
In response to urgent calls for help, WWF-Philippines is now actively working to provide aid for our partner communities in critical areas.
These communities have been integral to initiatives like the Forest for Water at the Ipo and Angat watersheds in Bulacan; the TVA Plastic Smart Cities project in Manila City; and the Circular Operations for a Plastic pollution-free Environment (COPE) project in the cities of Quezon and Caloocan. Their commitment and active involvement have driven sustainable solutions to protect our environment.
Together, we can make a profound impact and provide these families with the support they urgently need to rebuild their lives.
