My Story
Over the years I have lost several friends to suicide here in HK. It's a tough city, sometimes a hard one and surprisingly often it can be a lonely one. It's good to know that there are people out there to help if you need them. It's our responsibility to make sure they are funded and can be there when someone calls.
Darkness into Light is a charity that aims to raise awareness of suicide and self harm in our community, and provide counselling for those in need. Our team at McSorley's Ale House participate in the charity walk here in HK, but this year, since I have set myself the personal challenge of trekking to Everest Base Camp, I am hoping to raise funding for Darkness into Light through this endeavor. All monies raised will go directly to the charity.
