Hailey is participating in Weaving Hopes for the Future
and is fundraising for Persatuan Kesedaran dan Keadilan Iklim Malaysia (Klima Action Malaysia -KAMY)

Hello! I'm fundraising RM3,000 for the 'Weaving Hopes for the Future' project which will bring Malaysian indigenous voices to COP26 this coming November. This will be the first ever participation of the indigenous people of Peninsular Malaysia in COP26, a very important conference on climate change.

My Story

About Weaving Hopes for the Future..

Weaving Hopes for the Future is an art and cultural response to the climate degradation and climate injustice around us, focusing on creating a space for Orang Asli (Indigenous) youths and women to empower them to participate meaningfully in climate action locally and globally. We will be exhibiting an art installation and creative storytelling co-produced by 11 Indigenous women and youth. The creative art that we intend to present in our exhibition at COP 26 tells the journey of the indigenous youth and women in this project. 

So, where will the money go? 

  • Donation will go towards:
    • exhibition setup and logistics in the UK
    • exhibition fees
    • equipment
    • materials
    • digital tools
  • The art installation needs to be air-flown from Malaysia to Glasgow, UK and put together for the exhibition.
  • I will be representing the Weaving Hopes team at COP26 and need your support to cover travel and accommodation costs.
