Hi everyone, good day to all! We are students of Tunku Abdul Rahman University and from the class of Diploma in Public Relations, Year 1 Semester 2. For this semester, our class is participating in Civic Consciousness & Volunteerism and one of the projects of this module is volunteering in fundraising events. In conjunction with this project, we as a class has chosen Penang Handicapped Welfare Association as it is a non- governmental organization (NGO). This home is mainly a  welfare home for disabled children and elderly. It is dedicated to provide the disabled children and elderly with warmth, as well as loving shelter and proper care. They are willing to serve all these peoples as a guardians at all times to ensure they will  always feel loved & protected. The centre is located at 661, Jalan Bukit Dumbar, Bukit Dumbar, 11600 Georgetown, Pulau Pinang.We chose them as our fundraising project is because we know it’s challenging to take a good care of the handicaps. We need to pay more attention to them and provide them with more comfortable environments in which we would like assist them. Due to a lack of finances and suppliers, they are unable to satisfy their daily needs for the handicapped children and the elderly such as medical funds, rental utilities, and living expenses throughout the pandemic. Our fundraising event will be held from 12th December 2022 to 26th December 2022.
