My Story
Julien and Ivy are running for Hong Kong Standard Chartered Half Marathon this Sunday 12 Feb. We hope to raise fund for a Hong Kong local based charity called Action for Reach Out (AFRO) which set up in 1933 to offer services and support to women working in the sex industry in Hong Kong, including those who are from Hong Kong, Mainland China, Thailand, and the Philippines etc.
The reason why we chose AFRO is because Ivy has interned in this charity when she was in the university and the experience has opened her eyes in understanding women and sex workers' rights in Hong Kong. Julien and Ivy firmly believe that sex work is simply just work and sex workers should be protected by law, free from stigmatisation and discrimination.
