I cordially invite you to join me supporting The Zubin Foundation's Run for A Cause, pledging your support to delivering impactful and lasting results, creating opportunities and opening a path of dignity out of poverty for the marginalised ethnic minority community in Hong Kong. You are playing an important part in the stories of the underprivileged service users.

My Story

Thrilled to be participating in the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Marathon 2025 as a Racial Equality Ambassador for The Zubin Foundation!

Within the marginalised ethnic minority communities in Hong Kong, many individuals navigate their own challenging 'marathons' in life, facing racial and gender biases, language barriers, mental health struggles and stigmas, health issues, special educational needs, disabilities, and various other obstacles.

Just as marathon runners are uplifted by cheering crowds and aid stations, The Zubin Foundation stands steadfastly beside the community members every step of the way.

I have been fortunate enough to ‘run’ the WeDesign Hong Kong competition for 3 consecutive years to brainstorm together with ethnic minority youth on how to create a more inclusive city through urban design and place making.

Through this first hand experience, I am very much aware of the awesome work that The Zubin Foundation is doing. They truly are improving the lives of Hong Kong’s ethnic minorities by reducing suffering and providing opportunities.

So when they invited me to be an ambassador, I instantly said yes.

And since I am always in for a physical challenge, I must spice it up a bit.

I aim to complete the 42km within 3hrs, so that I will be given the HK$1000 prize money for sub 3 male finishers.

Of course, I will add this to the donations.

In case I can’t complete within 3hrs, I will donate HK$1000 from my own pocket.

Pity or luck that the prize money last year was HK$10,000? I will tell you afterwards…
