We are JEMS Primary 1 Students and we are fundraising for Cedar Workshop (Social enterprise under Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired)!

My Story

Who we are

We are JEMS P1 (Blue Level) students and we are fundraising for Cedar Workshop (social enterprise under Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired.

Why we care

For the past three months, we looked into people who are visually impaired in our society and focus on helping them. Through experiential learning and activities, we learnt about different types of visual impairments and develop a sense of empathy and compassion. We want to put compassion in action and help them by fundraising for Ebenezer School!

Our Solution

We can help by donating money to support Cedar Workshop, the social enterprise under Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired to help more people with visual impairment.

Who we want to support and why - Ebenezer School

Ebenezer School is a school for blind and visually disabled children. Cedar Workshop, the social enterprise under Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired provides educational services to enrich the public's awareness of visual impairment. The school also provides rehabilitation services for children starting from the age of preschool. They enhance the children’s visual performance, confidence and independence, in the long run, to improve their quality of life.

Our fundraising goal

We want to raise $10,000 HKD to help the children in Hong Kong who have visual impairment.

More about our other projects

JEMS Character Academy was founded in 2009 and is an after-school learning centre with a vision to see children become junior excellent members of society. With a belief that education goes beyond transferring knowledge and skills, JEMS provides children with Character Education programmes throughout the year.   As a part of encouraging students to give back to the community, it is JEMS' hope that students will grow in their empathy and compassion for different needs in our city through the unique JEMS curriculum where students are encouraged to make a difference in the lives of others. As a result, students across various school levels have chosen to start a campaign to fundraise for different charities that help and support some of the needs in Hong Kong.
