My Story

I will be running my first marathon in Kobe, Japan on 17th November 2024. Coaxed to do so and accompanying me in Kobe are my weekend running warriors - Ernestine and Yvonne -  veteran marathon runners in their own right. This maiden marathon challenge should relieve an itch I have had to do so for quite a long time now but never had the guts to attempt one. Another friend from Singapore, Yishan, will also be joining us in Kobe. The most thrilling part of all this is that my son, Nicholas, is flying from London to run with me. I am blessed to have such tremendous support and encouragement and this should alleviate some of the pain of taking on this challenge. 

I want to take this opportunity to help some good causes and for this reason I am partnering up with my running coach and friend, Jeff Ross, who is running the 6 World Marathon Majors in 2024 for 3 amazing charities: 

● Charity: water - We are building a well for a village in South East Asia, providing a clean and sustainable water supply. www.charitywater.org
● Home Of Hope – We are providing education, care and support for adults and children from underprivileged communities affected by cancer in 
   Malaysia. www.cancer.org.my
● Suka Society – We are helping the rehabilitation process for Malaysian children that have been trafficked overseas. www.sukasociety.org
