The BRDB Rotary Children’s Residence is more than just a home, it is an empowering place for nurturing young minds into thriving adults of tomorrow.
In 2010, BRDB partnered with the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur DiRaja to create a safe and nurturing environment for children in need or at risk, under the auspices of the Rotary BRDB Trust.
Its story began in 1999, when the plight of abandoned children touched the hearts of three Rotarians – Dato’ Sri Akbar Khan, Datuk Chan Kam Fatt and Mr Frank Lim H.H.
With their generosity and after years of persistence, the BRDB ROTARY Children’s Residence (BRCR) officially opened its doors in May 2016.
