that builds sustainable communities by providing affordable and decent homes
for the less privileged and by partnering with various sectors for holistic
community development. Habitat Philippines is a country affiliate of Habitat for
Humanity International which is based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Habitat
International is present in 90 countries and has built over half a million
homes since 1976.
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort. The Christian housing organization has since become a leading global non-profit working in nearly 70 countries. In the Philippines since 1988, Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 150,000 families have a safe and decent home, built and empowered over 200 communities nationwide, and supported 616,384 households to improve their homes through financial services. Through donating, volunteering, or advocating for affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
