We are a small group of avid trail runners, ultra marathon runners and we want to raise awareness for the needs of Nepalese children and youth. We are doing so through CWS, Child welfare Scheme. 

From October 2019 through to March 2020 we will run the following ultra marathons 

The 100km Oxfam Trailwalker in Hong Kong on 15th November 2019. The Oxfam Trailwalker is an iconic trail race that began in 1981 as a training exercise for the Nepalese soldiers (Ghurkha's) who were stationed in Hong Kong. Since 1986, the event has become a public sports event where a team of 4 runners needs to run the entire distance of 100km conquering 5.000 meters of elevation. Our team goal is to run the event in under 14 hours.

Golden 100, a one hundred mile ultra marathon in December 2019 in Hong Kong 

From Saturday 25th to - Mon 27th January 2020, Scottie will attempt the gruelling Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge. A 298km and 14,500m D+ elevation ultra marathon challenge. Nikki and Salomon are two of only a few people who have ever finished this event. Every year approximately 25 people start and some years nobody finishes.

For many of us a good education is a normal and relatively easy path in life, setting us up for a career and a livelihood, standard expectations of many of us us we grow up. And for some of us a career and a livelihood are really just a base level, stepping stones to bigger and better things.

But for many Nepalese children, they have the same ability as you or I, but they do not have access to an education which sets them up with these two basic needs, a career and a livelihood.

Two-thirds of Nepalese children who enrol in school drop-out before they complete secondary education at the age of 16. This not only has a critical effect on the students ability to find healthy, sustainable employment as adults, but also makes them extremely vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation as they leave the protection of regular school attendance.
