We are the students from Diploma in Food Science Year 1 Semester 1 Group 2 in TARUC. We are having a fundraising project from 11 November 2021 to 05 December 2021. The purpose of this project is to raise funds for Shine Home Welfare Association, which is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) located in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. It is a non-profit foster home for disadvantaged children that was established on 8 September 2011. This organisation did not receive government funding, and they have to rely on donors’ donations for financial support. There are 35 children in total that have been admitted. We aim to hit a target of at least RM2500 throughout this fundraising project. Through this project, we can increase public awareness about the plight and needs of marginalised groups in order to provide financial assistance to support the operating expenses of the organisation as well as improve the children’s living condition. We believe that the funds raised throughout the project will have a favourable and direct impact on the quality of children’s lives in the future. Thank You!!
