This year, Victor and Enrico are once again running for children’s dreams as they join the 2019 Fire + Ice Ultra Marathon in support of World Vision's 1000 Girls Campaign. Support them by donating.
My Story
In 2018, Victor Consunji and Enrico Menichetti ran the extra mile for the benefit of children in need by joining the 2018 Marathon Des Sables in Morocco. Coined 'the toughest foot race on earth', the race pushed them to the limits. But through the support of their friends and family, Victor and Enrico were able to finish the race strong, and raise enough funds to provide water facilities, school supplies, and proper nutrition to children in Bohol, Malabon, and Batangas.
Inspired by their previous success and armed with the motivation to help more children, Victor and Enrico are joining the 2019 Fire + Ice Ultra Marathon in support of World Vision's 1000 Girls Campaign to empower girls to achieve their dreams through education.
Dubbed as Iceland’s Toughest Multi-Terrain Foot Race, the trail run includes 250 km of lava fields, volcanic ash, sand dunes and boiling mud pools.
As Victor and Enrico get closer to the finish line, children will also get a step closer to reaching their dreams.
The impact of your donation:
PHP 1000 (USD 20) guarantees that two children will have new learning kits for the school year
PHP 3000 (USD 60) ensures that children have access to clean water, and good hygiene and sanitation facilities within their school
PHP 5000 (USD 100) will contribute to making sure that classrooms are fully functional and have adequate facilities to promote positive learning experience to children
PHP 9000 (USD 180) will already sponsor a girl for one year, providing her and her community with life-changing basics like education, health and nutrition, livelihood, disaster risk reduction capabilities, child protection initiatives, and spiritual nurture programs

About 1000 Girls Campaign
1000 Girls is a global movement of World Vision that aims to address gender discrimination, and empower girls living in areas affected by poverty to live life to the fullest through the child sponsorship program.
The campaign hopes to have 1000 Filipina girls sponsored by October 11 – the International Day of the Girl Child.
