About Event

Since his stroke in July 2014, Mr See has been undergoing rehabilitation. He was undergoing rehabilitation sessions thrice a week, and over time, it was reduced to once a week. Because Mr See is a full-time caregiver to his son who is mentally disabled, he hopes his left arm, which was affected by the stroke can get better so that he can continue to care for his son on a daily basis with duties including changing diapers and giving his son showers.

He has not been able to work because of his stroke that has limited movement. Mr See used to do odd jobs as a painter. Mr See is currently receiving help from the CDC on a monthly basis which is just sufficient to cover their living expenses. He is very diligent in his exercise and is motivated with the improvement and wants to continue with his weekly therapy to get better to care for his son.

To help Mr See and his son, ROHI is raising S$480 per month over the next 6 months, a total of S$2,880, to cover his weekly therapy so that his hand can get better for him to care for his son, and he can then explore the options of returning to work once his movement improves.

ROHI aims to make a difference to individuals and/or families, to help them on the path to becoming self-reliant so that they can gradually get back into the usual routine.  ROHI helps our recipients raise funds through Simply Giving.  Our Founder and Board of Directors cover the administrative and operating costs of ROHI so that your donation is 100% efficient and goes directly to the recipient.   If any money is collected in excess of the target, it will be channelled to other recipients.
