Yayasan Scomi

Yayasan Scomi is a Malaysian non-profit foundation established in 2005. It is dedicated to developing communities through the use of education and provision of living assistance. For example, the foundation is involved in initiatives to address literacy and numeracy challenges in young children via the LINUS program. This program focuses on early intervention in both areas of learning, for children below the age of 10. Provisions are allocated for awareness and training programs targeted for parents and teachers to ensure that they are updated with new methods of handling children with learning difficulties. Additionally, Yayasan Scomi has provided educational assistance and scholarships to less fortunate students over the years, especially in rural areas. To date, it has provided scholarships to over thirty students as well as special education needs, training and equipment to three schools.

The foundation also focuses on the adoption of less privileged families in Malaysia by extending financial
support and volunteers via CSR activities to facilitate and improve their living conditions via the provision of groceries, schooling expenses as well as performing repairs to furniture or housing.

Yayasan Scomi aims to support the underserved public irrespective of race, religion or creed. This can be
as simple as creating a moment of joy for the underprivileged by interacting with them or via home and education improvements for a deserving family or community. The focus is on the quality of assistance rather than the quantum. Hence with all our hands reaching out together, we can hopefully create an impactful difference.
