We, Gary, Stephen and myself are participating as the “the exiles” are taking part and helping organise the 15th edition of Golfing For Good, organised by The Wednesday Afternoon Golf Society (WAGS) in Hong Kong. Throughout the years we have accumulated USD 1.300.000 in donations. What started as an idea has to date developed in to an annual, recurring event with a focus on helping kids in need. As such, we are fundraising for The Christina Noble Children's Foundation, a charity that is dedicated to serving the physical, medical, educational and emotional needs of vulnerable children. Please support us by donating generously.
My Story
The Wednesday Afternoon Golf Society (WAGS) is a social golf society in Hong Kong which has been established for over 20 years, arranging regular golf events for members and their guests throughout the year. We are an extremely active society - annually we hold over 40 events in Hong Kong, China, and Macau and arrange three tours in Asia each year.
WAGS, like any club or society, has a culture that binds members together: Good Golf, Good Company, Good Causes. Giving for good is an important part of WAGS.
The WAGS Golfing for Good philosophy distinguishes WAGS from almost all other golf societies. We are rightly proud of it because it is driven by the commitment and generosity of our members and sponsors.
We also host the biggest amateur golf event in Hong Kong - the WAGS Annual Golfing for Good Day.
Golfing For Good Day
Our Golfing for Good program is now in its 15th year and has raised in excess of HK$10.5m for various beneficiaries. Most of the fundraising comes from our Annual Golfing for Good Day, which has become Hong Kong's biggest amateur golf event, with 144 players taking part.
This year’s event takes place on Friday 17th November at the Kau Sai Chau Golf Course in Hong Kong.
