My Story
Light Up A Neuron fundraising is carried out by a group of students from AIESEC in Taylor’s University. We are in collaboration with MND Malaysia, a non-profit organisation that aids the Motor Neuron Disease (MND) patients in Malaysia.
What is Motor Neuron Disease (MND)?
MND is a condition that affects the brain and nerves, leading to muscle weakness. It is a condition that deteriorates as time passes. Imagine wanting to hug a loved one but couldn’t do so anymore. This is one of the things MND warriors go through.
Through this fundraising we aim to:
Spread awareness about Motor Neuron Disease
Raise target crowdfunding of RM2,500 for the benefit of MND patients
Support MND Malaysia by engaging with volunteers, caregivers, donors, specialists through social media to further aid the MND patients/warriors!
*Funds raised will be allocated to MND Malaysia, for purchasing non-invasive ventilator equipment to support patients with breathing and other caregiver programs.
We appreciate each of your contributions to helping these strong warriors!
*Additionally, there will be a virtual webinar on MARCH 21, 8PM-9.15PM where an MND patient and caregiver will be sharing their journey.
